In the role of Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the
Maintenance Team in the Brewing Department. Successful candidates
will contribute to the department team overall by routinely
operating and maintaining equipment. You will be responsible for
ensuring the equipment is well maintained and runs efficiently with
few breakdowns. You will also be responsible for supporting the
technical growth of our operators, and our journey to
operator-based maintenance. This position will report to our
maintenance team leader. Must have sufficient experience in an
industrial maintenance environment. Skills must include the ability
to troubleshoot and repair equipment issues, including corrective
adjustments, timing changes, modifications, and parts replacements
in a timely manner to improve production efficiency. Must be able
to respond to breakdown calls, while also balancing planned
perspective and corrective work. Shifts include second or third.
Second shift is 3pm – 11pm and third shift is 11pm – 7 am. Must be
available to work nights and weekends. What You’ll Be Brewing:
Proactively assess equipment and implement improvements to increase
equipment efficiency. Operate equipment to understand functionality
and balanced line flow, and routinely as needed. Evaluate the
effectiveness of our PM routines and make revisions/ improvements
to increase the effectiveness of maintenance activities and improve
efficiencies. Understand the principles of product quality control,
balanced line flow and is proactive in verifying that repair work
and modifications support the achievement of these goals. Must have
the necessary drive to improve plant performance through input and
support of assigned line’s long term reliability strategy. Works to
reduce unplanned downtime by completing assigned work, documenting
work in SAP, identifying necessary improvements to equipment and
preventative maintenance plans, and involvement in ROOT Cause
Analysis, and working collaboratively with Maintenance Planners. Be
a resource for the Production team, Electricians, the quality team,
and others to help solve recurring problems. Assist in the training
of new employees and creation of new SOPs, quick-fix routines for
the breakdown process. Contributes to a safe workplace by
performing all tasks in safe manner, demonstrating the use of
safety equipment, and in accordance with Lock Out/Tag Out safety
rules, codes, policies, and regulations. Key Ingredients: At least
four years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a
team based, high-speed manufacturing environment. You have a high
school diploma or a GED, and you are at least 21 years of age.
Experience with fabrication of parts using basic shop tools (Drill
Press, Arbor, cutting torches, saws), welding (stick/TIG, MIG)
ability is a plus. Must be able to read and understand manual and
drawings. Able to work in a team environment. The position also
involves frequent stooping or crawling in cramped quarters and
underneath equipment. Routine lifting of 50 pounds is normal
