In this position, you will oversee the daily maintenance of transportation equipment and the management of our skilled maintenance staff. Your expertise will ensure our fleet's optimal operation, directly impacting our ability to deliver products efficiently and reliably. Under your leadership, the maintenance team will not only meet but exceed the rigorous standards that have upheld McLane's reputation for over 130 years. Supervise daily activities of the maintenance team, including scheduling, staffing, and task assignment. Ensure all transportation equipment is maintained in accordance with industry standards and company policies. Develop maintenance procedures and coordinate maintenance sessions to minimize vehicle downtime. Manage parts inventory and procurement while maintaining budget constraints. Collaborate with other departments to optimize maintenance schedules and enhance operational efficiency. Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and facilitate professional development. Enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
