We are seeking a talented Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer to support the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) interceptor missile and ground system. The PAC-3 family of missiles are the only combat proven Hit-to-Kill interceptors that defend against incoming threats, including tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and aircraft through direct body-to-body contact delivering exponentially more kinetic energy on the target than can be achieved with blast-fragmentation kill mechanisms. This role will require onsite support full-time at Lockheed Martin's Missiles and Fire Control headquarters in Grand Prairie, TX working a 4/10 Flex schedule. What You'll Do:--- Collaborate with subsystem and software engineers to integrate MATLAB and C++ models of weapons, sensors, ground systems and environments, guidance, navigation and autopilot algorithms and actual Operational Flight Program code into the 6-Degree of Freedom (6-DOF) Integrated Flight Simulations (IFS).--- Use the simulation to stimulate hardware in the Hardware In the Loop (HWIL) Lab to verify performance requirements are met.--- Perform modeling and simulation tasks for system survivability, Safety of Flight (SOF), trade studies and simulation analyses for end-to-end battle management systems (BMS). Relocation: Relocation assistance is possible for this exciting position. The Locale: Grand Prairie is part of the "Mid-Cities" region in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex which is in the North Central region of Texas. Grand Prairie is a suburb of both Dallas and Fort Worth. Basic Qualifications:--- Must currently posses a DOD Secret security clearance or greater. --- Proficient in C++ and MATLAB. --- Willingness to work onsite in a classified lab environment.Desired Skills:--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Experience with the following:--- Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3)/IAMD modeling. --- Python. --- FORTRAN.
