Current Need

The McKesson Contract Administration team is hiring Contract Administration Manager-2 in Irving TX.

Position Description

The Contract Administration Manager-2 provides leadership and support and is responsible for successful Implementation of the company's EDI and IT enhancement projects in support of key business functions while working with internal and external business to resolve complex issues that have impact across multiple functional business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Resolves issues and removes impediments for the successful implementation of EDI transactions.
  • Meet with internal and external partners to analyze problems, find solutions, and resolve issues for EDI 844, 845, and 849 Implementations and JDE enhancements.
  • Assisting in developing analytical tools and reports to communicate and execute improvements that reduce company risk, enhance financial performance, and advance the success of our business
  • Prioritize opportunistic ad-hoc projects and requests as necessary with the team
  • Liaison with multiple business function leads (Contract Administration, IT, GPO Support, Strategic Accounts) to gain consensus and initiate implementation of improvements that positively impact financial efforts
  • Effective resource manager for Process Optimization team members, sets clear objectives, provides coaching and mentoring, addresses performance, and facilitates resolution of issues
  • Represent McKesson Medical Surgical Business Unit as key cross-functional groups including leading sessions for new business and active projects
  • Develop and promote a productive, collaborative, learning-based team environment
  • Clearly define responsibilities and expectations for each team member
  • Schedule and lead or attend ongoing meetings for regular team activities
    • Monthly 1:1's
    • Monthly Team Meetings
    • Quarterly Operations Meetings
    • Provide consistent feedback on performance
    • Support development opportunities
    • Perform effective issue management and resolution
    • Complete all McKesson HR related activities per defined schedule

      Minimum Requirements

      • 4+ years of business experience in healthcare distributor and wholesaler field is required. Contract Analysis and EDI Implementation is preferred.
      • 2+ years of leadership experience is required.

        • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate, influence and develop others
        • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and relationship building skills
        • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization (time management) skills
        • Demonstrates analytical ability and attention to details
        • Advanced problem solving and root cause analysis skills
        • Ability to work in a detail-oriented environment
        • Ability to work under limited general direction on multiple tasks with competing timelines
        • Professional conduct and demeanor, uses discretion and maintain high level of confidentiality
        • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge in MS products (including Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)
        • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge in JDE, Vistex, and SQL
        • Ability to work with minimal supervision
        • Proven ability to manage projects efficiently with strong attention to details
        • Process knowledge and process methodology background

          Additional Knowledge and Skills

          • Background in IT technologies and customer solutions
          • Ability to work in a team environment and collate feedback from all levels within the business
          • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment
          • Demonstrated change leadership skills (i.e., ability to effectively manage communication, negotiate successful outcomes, identify risks, engage correct stakeholders, etc.)
          • Accountable and empowered ability to take responsibility, self-start to ensure realization of desired business outcomes
          • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and manage a team of business resources
          • Collaboration and cross-functional leadership must be able to work with leaders from other teams
          • Creative problem solving, able to quickly assess issues and implement solutions
          • Deep and balanced knowledge of both business and technical processes to help guide team to successful outcomes

            Education

            A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field is required.

            Environment

            Traditional office requirements. Large percentage of time performing computer-based work is required.
