About the role:

All great people teams are built on rock solid foundations - as the business needs continue to evolve, we are now seeking a People Operations Manager. In this role you will be accountable for three main functions: the efficacy of integrated systems, the data integrity for analytics and dashboards for reliable reporting, and the successful project management of process improvements and change management initiatives.

You will provide guidance pertaining to employee relations, training programs, benefit administration, conflict resolution, diversity and inclusion, labor regulation and overall employee and company success. Given that we have evolved into a remote first workplace with distributed employees, this position will also help craft remote work best practices, guidelines and systems. This is a remote position and can be based anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities
Provide administrative and operational support to several parts of the People Life Cycle (Onboarding, Orientation, Talent Management, and Offboarding)
Oversee day-to-day operations of the business, including payroll, benefits, contracts, and daily company compliance requirements.
Process employee lifecycle change requests in all people systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance of employee data and files through periodic review and audit
Manage the offboarding process, including scheduling exit interviews, equipment collection, etc
Understand the overall organization and provide front-line employee support for basic questions, guiding employees to appropriate resources as needed
Maintain the People team internal pages and ensure all documents are up to date and current - work with relevant stakeholders to update when necessary
Provide a seamless customer experience to our employees by fielding inbound queries, triaging as necessary and bringing issues and questions to resolution
Collaborate with the functional People team on company-wide benefits programs, compensation strategy and other HR related matters.
Act as the first point of contact and support for employee changes including professional development, employee performance, leave, and day-to-day support.
Build and maintain documentation and guides of current and future business processes and standard operating procedures for a streamlined user experience

Requirements
3+ Years experience as an HR generalist
Must hold current certification (PHR/SHRM-CP)
Bachelor's Degree in HR or Employee Relations, or related discipline preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Proven ability to both lead and execute
Ability to juggle many initiatives in parallel
Comprehensive knowledge of employee benefits regulations and best practices
Ability to conduct difficult conversations with impartiality and discretion
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Insurance carrier, broker, insurtech or fintech experience highly preferred
Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment. Must have ability to roll up his/her sleeves and still enjoy the work
Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
Unquestionable integrity and discretion
