Job Description

As a Sales Manager, you will lead a team of 5 people, ensuring they hit all monthly targets, developing and implementing the sales strategy, training the existing team and improving individuals' sales skills. You will play a proactive role in partnering with colleagues from across Marketing, Product, Content and other teams to share customer feedback and improve our services. This is an ideal position for a Sales Manager with previous experience in building and leading a team, as well as with a track record of being a coach and mentor.

In This Role You Will Be Responsible For

  • Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets, through managing a sales team of Account Managers, each of whom will have a book of 80 named accounts
  • Recruiting, managing and creating a team culture of target achievement through strong processes, excellent selling and service skills, and an atmosphere of dedication, passion, confidence and fun.
  • Working with management and colleagues to set short and long-term sales strategies, providing market and customer feedback to shape the future product roadmap
  • Aiding the development of the team through sales and product training, as well as by identifying and capitalizing on new revenue initiatives.
  • Ensuring the team achieves all non-revenue targets
  • Territory management through accurate use of our CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Finding new opportunities for up-sell and cross-sell and actively managing attrition
  • Managing a geographically dispersed team, creating a strong sense of commercial urgency and purpose
    Qualifications

    Required Experience:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 2+ years of B2B solution sales management experience, including a proven track record of success through selling both existing and new propositions to senior decision makers
    • Proven ability to lead a sales team, relying on extensive experience and judgment to accomplish sales goals.
    • Proactively managing and monitoring team performance against sales objectives.
    • Strong experience in coaching and mentoring others - Providing coaching and performance management to improve individual and team performance.
    • Highly developed business acumen and ability to understand the wider issues of the market you operate in
    • Demonstrated knowledge of different sales methodologies and CRM systems; Salesforce preferred
