Electrical Project Managers (25M+ job value) who will be
responsible for directing and supervising activities related to the
planning and monitoring of commercial and industrial construction
projects, from inception to completion. Members of our project

Responsibilities
Duties & Responsibilities: The statements below are intended to
describe the general nature and scope of work performed in this
role. This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities,

- Manage, submittals, budgets, schedules, and all other aspects
necessary for a successful project
- Maintain and foster contacts with consultants, contractors,
vendors, and material suppliers
- Serve as an interface between the Electrical Engineering team
and internal clients, including the Construction, Operations, and
Safety teams, to facilitate interdepartmental relations and project
goals
- Assist with the development of new electrical engineering
standards and maintain and improve existing standards and
guidelines, implementing industry and company best practices
- Ensure the estimated cost is optimized by providing accurate
project layouts and bills of material takeoffs with
constructability and operability needs
- Act as a subject matter expert regarding various electrical
engineering activities
- Lead or participate in project meetings and conference
calls
- Participate in engineering, design, and construction review
processes
- Lead and conduct value-engineering studies of alternative
design approaches
- Interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and documents
related to engineering and construction
- Coordinate project construction with other trades to resolve
critical and time-sensitive issues
- Lead or assist with investigations, including root cause
analysis as needed
- Submit Request For Information (RFI's) to clients
- Coordinate meetings, scheduling, submitting deliverables and
addressing outstanding 'open items' as requested by clients
- Prepare look-ahead documents and weekly/monthly progress
reports
- Review and monitor job costs versus budgets
- Report to Operations management team
- Client centric focus: develop an understanding of the client's
culture, key people and processes
- Provide guidance and direction for estimators during the
estimation process
- Manage and assist project layout and coordination
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control programs.
- Coordinate work with Purchasing to ensure that requested
material is expedited and received as needed for the construction
of a project
- Resolve inter-group conflicts, project conflicts and delays as
required to meet project construction goalsWORKING CONDITIONS
- Mainly office but may also include all other work environments
as required: sit, stand, talk, hear, use hands and fingers to
operate a computer keyboard and telephone.
- Work is generally performed in climate-controlled office
environment.
- Primary environment: ambient room temperatures, lighting, and
traditional office equipment as found in a typical office
environment.
- Considerable time is spent at a desk using a computer
terminal.
- May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise
levels, such as from office equipment.
- Can be exposed to hazardous materials, loud noises and extreme
heat/cold temperatures, if visiting job sites or other off-site
events.
- Can be exposed to Heavy Equipment, slippery surfaces, uneven
footing on the jobsite
- Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and
printers, light foot traffic).PHYSICAL FUNCTION
- Repeat the same mental activities.
- Ability to operate a keyboard at efficient speed and typical
business office equipment, including computer hardware.
- Regularly required to talk and/or hear; use hands to operate
objects, tools or controls (phone, computer, printer etc.); and
reach with hands and arms.
- Work performed causes fatigue of eyes, fingers and other
facilities because of continuous use of motor senses.
- Vision and hearing at or correctable to normal ranges.
- May be occasionally be asked to lift, stoop, kneel, and/or move
objects up to 25 pounds.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is
regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands.
- Regular, predictable attendance is required.
- Be able to work hours necessary to complete tasks and
deliverables
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Safety True Believer
- The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of progressively
responsible experience in the electrical construction industry,
with a concentration in commercial and industrial large
construction projects
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or
related field is preferred or previous work as Licensed
Electrician/Supervisor
- Ability to prepare construction schedules
- Prior knowledge and/or ability to learn and understand the
estimating process
- Exposure to ACCUBID and/or CONEST a plus
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite required, including excel at
advanced level and familiarity with MS Teams and SharePoint
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, organizational, and
interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills required
- Must be able to work at project jobsites throughout the DFW/N
Texas as needed
- Willing to travelEmployment at Cummings is subject to
background check and drug screen; must be eligible to work in the
United States without sponsorship.Minimum compensation is $120,000.
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
