ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE:
Direct the solicitation efforts of the sales staff through
effective oral and written communication while overseeing rate,
date and space commitments for group room sales within the

Provide goals and motivate the team to achieve them.
Ensure training programs are conducted regularly and Crescent
standards of performance are met. Give guidance and counsel staff

operation of the Sales Department to include, but not limited to
the annual and monthly Forecast, Business Plan, Budget, Lead
Management System, Pace Reports, Top accounts and Action plans.
Coordinate ongoing research of the travel industry to detect market
trends and related information for development of new marketing
strategies. Make reasonable recommendations to improve potential
from various markets.
Participate in local CVB, Chamber and other related industry events
Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to
prospective clients. Internally promote Crescent programs.
Interface with Brand and Crescent corporate team, utilizing all
best practices and tools.
Meet with and entertain clients, some of which will require
Communicate both verbally and in writing, and conduct
presentations, as needed.
Initiate preparation of annual Business Plan and Budget and execute
plans as outlined, critically examining and adjusting as deemed
necessary by current market conditions.
Ensure team focus on guest satisfaction for all group attendees
Organize and/or attend scheduled Sales and Hotel Department related

3 years of experience as a Director of Sales and Marketing in a
hotel of similar size.
