ManagementLocation: Fort Worth, TXSalary Range: Up to $150kThe
Director, Category Management position is responsible for
developing the best possible product assortment for all product
lines and ensuring sufficient inventory replenishment in line with
company financial goals and budgets. The successful candidate will
partner with the sales and marketing organization to provide
appropriate information and selling tools for business to business
and direct to consumer sales.Position Responsibilities:1.
Establishes and supports purchasing policies and ensure compliance
within the department.2. Continuously improve productivity and
efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.3.
Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively
identify brands, products and supply base opportunities and issues
to optimize company financial outcomes, minimize risk, and utilize
emerging opportunities.4. Provide company expertise in the
management of contract and acquisition cost negotiations with
suppliers including teaching and participation in these types of
negotiations.5. Bring industry expertise in product life cycle
management through development of analytic tools and processes to
optimize products in all life cycle phases.6. Evaluate supplier
core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost
models.7. Develop and execute for "sales screens" that include
providing a viewpoint on dealer and retail pricing, brand
positioning within the product line, and sales features/benefits.
This should include a 1-3-year view by category of needed

Requirements1. Ability to manage projects and meet goals.2.
Knowledge of terminology and language related to supplier
agreements.3. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.4. Experience
with AS400 and JDA systems.5. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills.6. Ability to think strategically with strong
analytical and problem-solving skills in a decentralized
environment.7. Thorough understanding of financial management and
business acumen.8. Ability to collaborate across company or brand
lines.9. Excellent analytical and organizational
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Business
Administration with MBA preferredExperience:Mandatory
Requirements1. 4 years direct management experience.2. 2+ years'
experience in four or more of the following: supplier relationship
management, product assortment planning, pricing management
(acquisition through MSRP/MAP), supplier contract negotiations,
product life cycle management.3. 1+ years' experience in
replenishment planning and budgeting.Equivalent combination of
education and/or experience may be considered.Working Conditions:1.
Works in an office environment.2. The noise level in the work
