looking for a Director of Manufacturing and Fabrication Operations
for their structural steel manufacturing and fabrication
plants.Under general supervision of the President, the Director of
Manufacturing and Fabrication Operations will manage all aspects of
fabrication of steel products and/or preparing, installing,
finishing all projects. This person will engage, train, supervise
and mentor Plant Managers, Lead Fabricators, Project Coordinators,
Installers, and Welders in a fast paced, productive, and fun work
environment.The Director of Manufacturing and Fabrication
Operations will have proven experience leading high performing
teams in the Steel fabrication industry.Details:Multi-plant
supervisory experienceHead the plant operations and supervise the
Production, Engineering, Projects, Maintenance, and Safety
functionsMeet targets for plant production, productivity, costs
etc.Setting up systems, operations budgeting, production interface
with sales, optimizing on productivity, cost, and quality and
customer satisfaction.Direct and coordinate production, processing,
and shipping activities of the organization.Develop budgets and
approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources,
ensuring that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently
to meet production targets.Review operations and confer with
technical or administrative staff to resolve production or other
processing problems.Initiate and coordinate inventory and cost
control, lean and safety programs.Review financial statements,
sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure
productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing
cost reduction and program improvement.Establish and implement
departmental policies, goals, objectives, and
procedures.ReportingReports to President.Knowledge, Skills, and
