We have partnered with a very successful private equity firm in their search to hire a new Corporate Controller for one of their growing portfolio companies here in the DFW area. As the top finance and accounting person, the Corporate Controller will need to be hands-on with all accounting and finance matters inclusive of the day-to-day accounting, reporting, treasury, and finance operations for the Company's business and also promotable in the short term to CFO.The Controller will continue to build out the accounting and finance team and establish best practices as the company continues to grow organically into new markets with new service offerings as well as through heavy acquisitive growth. As part of the executive team this person will collaborate with the CEO and be a true business partner by making recommendations to help with the growth and business strategy. The ideal candidate must have experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial services industry and be an energized individual who can represent the financial office of the company through a combination of business acumen, intellectual curiosity, and maturity in a high trust role.RESPONSIBILITIES Full oversight for accounting, finance, payroll, reporting, compliance, controls, treasury, legal, and IT Review, redesign/improve and oversee the daily operations of all accounting in accordance with GAAP and finance functions Continue to build out the accounting and finance team, developing them accordingly Act as business partner to CEO on all business matters of the company Engage with operations and private equity sponsors to review results and develop forward looking projections Own system implementations and continually searches for improvements and efficiencies Development and maintenance of the Company's controls, accounting policies and procedures, and systems Manage the Company's federal, state, local and other tax filings, systems, and processes Manage the Company's cash flow, cash flow, cash management, credit facility, working capital, and company audits Uses analytics to identify issues and opportunities and to help facilitate solutions and process -improvements Manage banking relationships Ensure legal compliance in all company matters Assist with performing due diligence and evaluate new M&A targets and integration of targets Other duties and projects typical of a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial companyQUALIFICATIONS Undergraduate finance or accounting degree CPA and MBA highly preferred 10+ years of experience in increasingly complex finance and accounting roles including reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis Home services, construction, building, or industrial services industry experience a plus Systems savvy, MUST have advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with ERP system implementation, conversions, or upgrades Public accounting a strong plusIs gritty, passionate, ownership oriented, and determined to have an impact on the organization Ability to thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment Strong problem-solving skills Excellent communicator both verbally and in writing Willingness and ability to work in a collaborative, fast paced environment with a variety of stakeholders Willing to "roll up their sleeves" and take on projects and opportunities (even outside of -this position's core functional area) to add value to -a rapidly growing and entrepreneurial company Ability to see the big picture while having a high regard for the details For years, we have built a reputation grounded in integrity and ethics while delivering a significant positive impact for our clients.
