Principal of Design Manager position oversees staff responsible for
the front and back-end design of our pharmacy network applications.
The team is responsible for the analysis, creation and maintenance
of computer programs and services for commercial or end user
applications, such as health care claims processing, financial
management, reporting, and other functions associated with
healthcare networks. The role is also responsible for and
implementing best practices across the Software Designers. This
position will identify areas for improvement and provide guidance
and training to make the necessary changes.You'll enjoy the
flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you
take on some tough challenges. -Primary Responsibilities: - -
- Directs the activities of a software Design team for software
application enhancements and new products. Selects, develops, and
evaluates personnel ensuring the efficient operation of the
function. Establishes operational objectives, work plans and
delegates assignments to subordinates
- Responsible for creating and implementing design standards
across the applications and the Change Healthcare Pharmacy
enterprise. This includes creation of, documenting and training the
teams across all applications and services
- Hire, mentor, and coach a team of Designers at various levels,
grow and develop the next generation of Design Architects
- Plays a key role in collaborating and influencing indirect
reports to meet product quality expectations. This may involve
meeting with customers to understand their business needs,
satisfaction with our products and team members to help maintain
positive relationships
- Leads direct reports to meet product quality expectations. This

- Works with vendors on current and potential integration and
maintains those relationships
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive continuous
improvements and cost reductions in our applications
- Primary Duties/Responsibility 8: Stay up do date on industry
trends and performs analysis on the best design strategies. Directs
the team leaders to further develop and implement chosen

Qualifications: - -
- BA in related field or 12+ years of equivalent business
experience
- 12+ years of experience in software design or business analysis
and 5+ years of experience leading teams along with demonstrated
success at meeting delivery expectations
- Ability to travel 10% as needed for customer site
visitsPreferred Qualifications: - -
- Experience with agile development
- Pharmacy business experience
- Experience with Jira
- Skilled in negotiation

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington
residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to education, work experience,
certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group
