Role:Dr. Squatch is looking for a new strategic leader to join our
Supply Chain team as Director of Procurement. This role will have
the opportunity to shape how the company handles procurement going
forward in our continued growth. The Director of Procurement will
be responsible for leading the Sourcing and Procurement teams,
developing and implementing procurement strategy, and leading
direct product cost-related negotiations and contracts. Other
responsibilities include communicating and presenting sourcing and
cost-saving strategies, building out the Purchasing department and
establishing procurement process.This role will report to Sr.
Director of Supply Chain.This is a full-time, hybrid role with
company benefits based out of Squatch HQ in Marina del Rey, CA.The
anticipated base compensation range for this role will be $150,000
to $180,000. Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's
experience and local market rates.What You'll Do:
- Maintain strong working relationships with strategic suppliers
to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met
- Lead the operations of the procurement function including
purchase order management, supplier selection, negotiations, and
supplier performance evaluation
- Lead and own the commercial relationship with all product cost
related suppliers
- Develop, present, execute, and track cost savings roadmap for
finished goods, raw materials, and packaging
- Analyze total procurement spend, set budget targets, track, and
report progress and actuals
- Partner with product development to launch new or optimize
current products
- Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, capacity,
and develop sourcing strategy
- Create broader sourcing strategy for all direct product
costs
- Negotiates prices, terms and conditions, and executes contracts
or purchase orders with suppliers
- Collaborate with demand and supply planning to understand
purchasing needs and requirements
- Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, capacity,
and develop sourcing strategy
- Develop co-manufacturing strategy for current and new product
lines
- Hire and develop Purchasing team and establish process
- Provide direction for recruiting needs, training, and team
buildingAbout You:
- 8+ years in Supply Chain with people management experience
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and Excel
proficiency
- ERP or NetSuite system experience preferred
- Interest in health and wellness, personal care, and/or
eCommerce industries
- Experience working in the consumer products industry is highly
preferred
- Someone who gets things done without perfect resources is
