Alliance For Children is the children's advocacy center serving all of Tarrant County. Since 1992, over 65,000 children have benefitted from Alliance For Children's teamed investigations and coordinated approach. Alliance For Children is a nonprofit organization that operates child-friendly centers located in Arlington, Fort Worth and Hurst. Summary:The Director of Program Services is responsible for the Client Relations Specialist, Family Advocate and Forensic Interview programs within Alliance For Children. This will include direct program oversight and establishment of best practice models within these programs. Job Duties & Essential Functions:

  • Supervise program supervisors, including determining workloads and schedules, evaluating staff performance, providing training and making hiring, promotion and disciplinary recommendations.
  • Ensure regular meetings are held with the program to assist in the teamwork and oversight of the program goals.
  • Manage the program spending and budget.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of each program.
  • Provide oversight and direct as to best practice methods.
  • Ensure uniformity within each program at each Alliance For Children location.
  • Provide support and direction for their program in sustaining expected work product and visioning for future needs.
  • Formulate, and review as appropriate, all protocols and procedures as they impact the workings of the AFC Team.
  • Ensure each program meets the standards for Children's Advocacy Centers as outlined in the Texas Family Code, standards guidelines as directed by Children's Advocacy Centers of Texas and local MDT protocols.
  • Consistently attend multidisciplinary case staffing meetings to monitor program and partner engagement and service delivery.
  • Attend all Interagency Committee meetings with Chief Program Officer and facilitate meetings as requested.
  • Develop interagency relationships between local law enforcement, Department of Family and Protective Services, Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney's Office, local medical organizations, and Alliance For Children.
  • Accessible 24 hours as needed and available for after hours on-call situations
  • Meet regularly with the Chief Program Officer for supervision and program oversight.
  • Meet regularly with the senior management team and Chief Executive Officer to ensure cohesion and teamwork.
  • Accept special assignments and/or duties as assigned by the Chief Program Officer or Chief Executive Officer.
  • Support the overall mission of Alliance For Children and each program within the agency structure by working collectively and cohesively with other management team members, demonstrating and modeling a positive, collaborative working environment. Minimum Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree required; degree in social work or related field preferred.
    • Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of five years' experience working within a multidisciplinary team, preferably the Children's Advocacy Center model; a minimum of three years' experience working directly within the child abuse field
    • Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role
    • Must have valid driver's license and proof of liability insurance.
    • Must successfully complete criminal and civil background checks.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and present in a positive, professional manner at all times.
    • Able to critically problem solve in high stress, emergency circumstances.
    • Must be able to handle difficult, possibly graphic case details.
    • Understanding of the Children's Advocacy Center model and child abuse investigative process
    • Able to maintain composure and professionalism under pressure of deadlines.
