We look forward to meeting you!For more information, visit .To view all job vacancies, visit or .Job Description:Description: The Clinical Manager- CHC is a collaborative member of the leadership team who provides expertise and support to clinical staff caring for patients at the clinic or facility. This position helps drive practice changes throughout Community Health and the JPS Health Network, impacts the division and network goals, and ensures the use of best practices and evidence-based care to achieve the best possible patient outcomes. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the quality and safety of all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards, ensuring clinical competency, and providing professional development.Typical Duties:

  • Supports and evaluates work activities of nursing, technical, clerical, and other employees; prepares and administers departmental performance evaluations.
  • Develops, reviews, and revises organizational policies and procedures for the facility or department.
  • Facilitates regular meetings and other forms of communication with Team Leads and other team members to assure awareness of operational and organization-wide issues.
  • Ensures the delivery of quality nursing care while minimizing the risk of infection, contamination, harm, or injury. Promotes the maintenance of a safe and clean working environment ensuring compliance with procedural rules and regulations.
  • Serves as an expert leader by identifying training, precepting, and mentoring needs and facilitates training for clinical staff and students.
  • Designs and implements interventions; assess and evaluates using data and metrics to improve overall health care delivery.
  • Leads project implementation, and monitors results and impact of evidence-based quality improvement actions that impact department goals and reduce costs throughout the health care system. Identifies major phases, implementation steps, success metrics, timelines, resource needs, and potential obstacles for each project. Utilizes standard project management tools and summary documents to track and communicate the status of projects.
  • Has extensive knowledge, and stays current with the latest developments in nursing practice and standards, evidence-based research and practice, and contributing to medical research.
  • Performs routine audits of records and observes workflows to ensure policy compliance and regulatory readiness.
  • Works with clinic and facility leadership to maintain a constant state of inspection and survey readiness.
  • Provides oversight of clinical care support.
  • Anticipates customer needs and manages the provision of services to all customers, including patients, physicians, clinic leaders, and staff.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate services with other clinics and facilities as required; maintains communication with allied services and maintains community liaison as appropriate.
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Promotes clinical education, multi-disciplinary collaboration, and implementation that is aimed at early identification, maintenance, and addressing worsening chronic conditions.
  • Encourages professional development for all clinical staff through Shared Governance, utilization of professional development plan, and staff and provider engagement.
  • Promotes quality health care services and decreases health care expenditures through management of a patients primary and chronic health care as well as through care coordination and transitions using advanced nursing knowledge, abilities, and skill.
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned. Qualifications:
  • Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • 5 plus years of experience as a practicing Registered Nurse.
  • 2 plus years of work experience in process improvement, quality assurance, and/or patient safety and quality.
  • 2 plus years of progressive nursing leadership responsibility. Required Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
  • Current licensure by the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas or proof of reciprocity of licensure between the State of Texas and another state.
  • Completion of unit-specific competency-based orientation program within 90 days.
  • Current JSP recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and must be maintained throughout employment.
  • Divisional and unit specialized training. Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Masters Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing. Preferred Licensure/Certification/Specialized Training:
