Work hours: Part-time nights, 24 hours weekly, 2-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Sign-on bonus for eligible RN's (eligible upon hire with a signed 2-year retention agreement)

Mother/Baby Unit Department highlights:

* Texas Health Alliance is a Baby-friendly and Texas 10-step designated facility.
* 40-bed Postpartum/Newborn, couplet care
* Average between 160 to170 deliveries per month and increasing volume
* 12-bed NICU/Neonatal ICU
* 4 OB/ED bays
* 14-bed LDR's
* 2 OR suites

Here's What You Need

* Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
* Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
* BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
* NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
* 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN residency program
* 1 year of Mother/Baby, Antepartum and fetal monitoring experience strongly preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

* Assesses the patient
* Plans the care of the patient
* Intervenes as appropriate
* Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
* Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
* Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
* Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
