Description:Note: This position is located in our Weatherford
Clinic and is on a PRN/Part-time basis. We are looking for someone
who is willing and able to supervise SLP-A and/or an SLP Intern.
This Speech Language Pathologist position works under the
supervision of the Discipline Lead, and in the absence of a lead,
the Clinical Director. The team member should be dedicated and
passionate about the therapy they provide, the families they serve,
and looking for an opportunity to grow.ResponsibilitiesThe Speech
Language Pathologist provides speech therapy services to patients
and related activities in accordance with best
practice/evidence-based practice guidelinesThe Speech Language
Pathologist completes evaluations and reassessments in accordance
with clinic guidelines in a timely mannerDevelops an individualized
plan of care based upon evaluation/reassessment findings according
to company and best practice guidelinesPerforms patient care and
related activities within the scope of their training and
responsibilities, demonstrating basic clinical competenciesThe
Speech Language Pathologist communicates effectively with
patient/family/therapists/physicians/administrative staff and other
stakeholders to promote quality servicesProvides
instruction/education to families/caregiversAssesses patient and
family needs regarding their level of understanding, ability to
assimilate information and the most desirable method of speech
therapyThe Speech Language Pathologist provides accurate and
thorough information consistently to families concerning their
participation in the patient's continuity of careThe Speech
Language Pathologist documents patient information in Electronic
Medical Record according to office policiesThe Speech Language
Pathologist performs other essential functions as neededAttends
health, safety and training in-services and other obligatory
activitiesThe Speech Language Pathologist maintains a current
awareness and participates in office quality
activitiesRequirements:REQUIREMENTS: The Speech Language
Pathologist will write thorough and defensible evaluations and
SOAP/daily notes in a timely manner The Speech Language Pathologist
will engage in evidence based practiceQualificationsMaster's degree
in Speech-Language PathologyCurrent Texas state license to practice
Speech TherapyTwo years pediatric clinical experience preferred,
although a strong new grad will be considered. The Speech Language
Pathologist must be articulate, courteous, and supportive in
dealing with clinical and administrative colleagues, patients and
parents with ability to honor confidentiality The Speech Language
