Job Description:
We are searching for a dedicated intensive care unit (ICU) nurse
to deliver vital care to seriously ill or injured patients in our
ICU department. As a specialized nurse, you will be highly trained
to treat patients who have suffered strokes, heart attacks, or
undergone invasive surgery.Job Responsibilities:
Perform direct patient care within
the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.Will float between
the ICU and CCU unitsUse therapeutic communication in daily
practice.Maintain a safe and therapeutic Intensive Care
environment.Implement and direct care, using the nursing process
with emphasis on the needs of individual patients.Evaluate the
effectiveness of the nursing process.Provide emotional support of
the patient and significant others to make informed choices
regarding health care.Promote a supportive environment that treats
patients and families with dignity, respect and appreciation of
their lifestyle, religion and culture.Maintain high quality, age
specific care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as
assigned.Delegate tasks to the appropriate caregiver.Participate in
Department specific initiatives and process improvement.Provide
supervision of new employees, patient care assistants, nurse
technicians, student nurses, and / or nurse interns.Support the
mission, vision, and values of the organization**This is for a
permanent position - SHIFT: Full-time Nights (rotating
weekends)****Pay range is based on years of experience - sign-on
bonuses and relocation packages offered**Qualifications/Education:
BSN is Required (However, if
candidates only have an ADN they are required to enroll in a BSN
program within 6 months of hire and complete it within 36
months)Covid-19 vaccinated - - - - - -Current Texas State Licensure
as a Registered Nurse (Compact license is accepted but TX State RN
license required within 30 days of hire) -Current BLS and ACLS from
American HeartMust have at 1 years of ICU experience. Willing to
speak with candidates that don't have recent acute care experience.
However, if it is not like more than 5 years that they have not
been in acute care. MUST have acute care experiencePowered by
