Job Description:
Description:Note: This could be full or part time and is located
in Weatherford TX.This Speech Language Pathologist position works
under the supervision of the Discipline Lead, and in the absence of
a lead, the Clinical Director. The team member should be dedicated
and passionate about the therapy they provide, the families they
serve, and looking for an opportunity to grow.ResponsibilitiesThe
Speech Language Pathologist provides speech therapy services to
patients and related activities in accordance with best
practice/evidence-based practice guidelinesThe Speech Language
Pathologist completes evaluations and reassessments in accordance
with clinic guidelines in a timely mannerThe Speech Language
Pathologist develops an individualized plan of care based upon
evaluation/reassessment findings a [he Speech Language Pathologist
performs patient care and related activities within the scope of
their training and responsibilities, demonstrating basic clinical
competenciesCommunicates effectively with
patient/family/therapists/physicians/administrative staff and other
stakeholders to promote quality servicesProvides
instruction/education to families/caregiversAssesses patient and
family needs regarding their level of understanding, ability to
assimilate information and the most desirable method of speech
therapyProvides accurate and thorough information consistently to
families concerning their participation in the patient's continuity
of careThe Speech Language Pathologist documents patient
information in Electronic Medical Record according to office
policiesThe Speech Language Pathologist performs other essential
functions as neededAttends health, safety and training in-services
and other obligatory activitiesMaintains a current awareness and
participates in office quality activitiesRequirements:REQUIREMENTS:
The Speech Language Pathologist will write thorough and defensible
evaluations and SOAP/daily notes in a timely manner The Speech
Language Pathologist will engage in evidence based
practiceQualificationsMaster's degree in Speech-Language
PathologyCurrent Texas state license to practice Speech TherapyTwo
years pediatric clinical experience preferred, although a strong
new grad will be considered.Must be articulate, courteous, and
supportive in dealing with clinical and administrative colleagues,
patients and parents with ability to honor
confidentialityDemonstrate excellent verbal and written
communication skillsUtilize basic office equipment such as fax,
