Job Summary and Qualifications
The Laboratory Phlebotomist performs collections of blood samples
and specimens efficiently and appropriately following hospital and
department standards and policies. Under the supervision of a
Medical Technologist, the Phlebotomist may also perform routine
technical functions, CLIA waived analyses and quality control. Join

What You Will Do in This Role
You will greet patients and instruct them in proper specimen
collection methods.
You will draw blood specimens from patients by using finger sticks,
heel sticks or venipunctures and collect other specimens as
required.
You will label specimens for identification purposes accurately and
enter specimen data into the computer.
You will prepare samples for microbiology, hematology, serology,
blood bank, and urinalysis departments
You will assist with clerical duties by answering telephone
calls.
What qualifications you will need:
AMT Registered Medical Assistant, or Certified Medical Assistant,
or ABR-OE Assess Based Rec in Order Entry, or Certified
Phlebotomist, or NAHP Nationally Registered Certified Medical
Assistant, or NHA Cert Clinical Medical Assistant must be obtained
within 90 days of employment start date
This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on
local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical
or religious exemption is approved).

Designated hospital. It is located in the heart of the medical
district. Medical City Fort Worth serves as a tertiary referral
center for Tarrant County and many counties within a 90 mile
