MAGNET, Level I Trauma Center - Sign on Bonus for Eligible New
Hires Fast-paced, high volume ED department is looking for top
skilled nurses.-- Is that you? Work location: Texas Health Fort
Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours:
Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 5:00 pm - 5:00 am
Sign-on bonus for eligible RN's (eligible upon hire with a signed
2-year retention agreement) Department Highlights
- 100-bed Marion Emergency Care, 75,000 square foot Level I
Trauma center--
- For minor care needs, the ED offers a Quick Care area designed
to expedite care and patient experience. Those requiring more
extensive workups will be taken to one of the diagnostic
rooms.
- Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one
of 22 Emergent Care rooms, including three resuscitation rooms for
the most severe trauma cases.
- ER has a dedicated area for comprehensive, compassionate care
of sexual assault victims.

need
- Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN
preferred
- CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign
education equivalency required
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the
Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
- BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and
maintained quarterly required
- ACLS - within 90 days required
- PALS - within 90 days required
- TNCC or ATCN - within 12 months of hire required
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training - within 60 days
of hire
- 1-year experience as a clinical nurse or completion of an RN
residency program required
- Current ED, ICU/PCU and/or Tele and Med/Surg experience
strongly preferred
- RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse
Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary
collaborator and coordinator for quality patient care
- The professional nurse exhibits understanding of basic human
needs.
- The professional nurse demonstrates recognition and
understanding of patient's affiliations In addition to the required
qualifications, a successful RN will
- demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive
interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced
environment.

- have basic computer skills using medical management application
systems What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the
Nursing Process --- assesses the patient --- plans the care of the

effectiveness of interventions --- Incorporates age specific
safety/infection control measures into patient care. --- Initiates
action to meet patient and/or significant others need for
information --- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift,
inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
