* Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132
* Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours/week, 7PM-7AM with holiday and weekend requirements

Labor & Delivery Department highlights:

* Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth
* Mother friendly designated, a Texas 10-Step designated, and a Magnet designated facility
* Newly Expanded Labor & Delivery Unit to a 15-bed LDR and 3 OR suites
* We average 285-300 deliveries a month

Here's What You Need

* Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing Diploma Required
* BSN preferred
* RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire required
* 3 months clinical nursing (RN) experience and acceptance into a THR transitional program Required
* One year of RN experience in Labor & Delivery strongly preferred
* BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
* ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
* NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days
* NRPA - Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days Required
* AWHONN - Advanced Fetal Monitoring 12 Months Required
* Ability to triage, labor, deliver, circulate and recover patients

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

* Assesses the patient
* Plans the care of the patient
* Intervenes as appropriate
* Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
* Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
* Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
* Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
