- The Surgical Progressive Care Unit is a 23-bed unit that cares
for neurological, trauma, and medical surgical patients that
support the Hospital's Certified Programs such as Trauma Level II,
The Joint Commission Comprehensive Stroke, The Joint Commission Hip
Fracture, Spine, and Brain Tumor Programs.

you'll need / What we require
- Associate degree in Nursing (A.D.N.) is required (BSN
preferred)
- One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN
residency program (One-year of Medical/Surgical, PCU, Tele, Rehab
or Neuro (traumatic brain injury / stroke) nursing experience is
preferred)
- Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the
Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
- BCLS / ACLS upon hire
- NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification)
within 6 months of hire required -- Your schedule
- Full time / Three 12-hour Night shifts per week
- 7:00PM - 7:00AM with rotating weekends and holidays This is the
