RN Registered Nurse Coordinator - Stroke. We want your knowledge
and expertise!Job Summary and Qualifications
This position involves the coordination of clinical management of
stroke patient population across the entire continuum of care.
Serves as a leader for the stroke program performance improvement
initiative. Acts as a clinical resource / role model for all areas
caring for stroke patients. Provides and/or coordinates educational
activities for both staff and patients. Acts as a community liaison
on behalf of the program and hospital. Directly involved in the
marketing / promotion of services provided. This role provides
education and leadership, serves as a resource and guide to
identify current concepts and evaluates their usefulness in
improving outcomes, quality, and patient safety. Assists in the
coordination of reports and analysis of the data. Ensures and
models a commitment to the organization's vision / mission / values
to support clinical outcomes. Support the promotion of a patient
safety culture; emphasizing risk reduction while analyzing trends
of events to support process improvement efforts that align with
high reliability strategies. Maintain communication with
administration, medical staff, and departmental leaders regarding
process improvement activities.
What qualifications you will need:
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact
license
- Advanced certification preferred
- BSN required, MSN preferred --
- Minimum 2-3 years of progressive health care experience, within
the last 5 years, acute medical/surgical/neurological nursing
(neurological nursing experience preferred).
- Recent experience in stroke outcomes research and intervention
is desirable
