Nurse - Resource Pool - Full Time Nights
Texas Health Resources is seeking to hire an Registered Nurse for
our Float Pool (Med/ Surg, Cardiac Telemetry and/or PCU)
Work Location: Texas Health Southwest 6100 Harris Parkway TX
76132
Work Hours: Full-time; 36 hrs./ week; 7pm - 7am; every other
weekend
Work Environment: Resource Pool Registered Nurse (Medical/
Surgical, Cardiac Telemetry, & PCU)
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Nursing Diploma or Associate degree from an accredited Nursing
program (required)
* Bachelor's degree in Nursing (preferred)
* One (1) year experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of
an RN Residency program required. (Float Pool experience strongly
preferred)
* Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas
Board of Nursing upon hire
Licenses and Certifications
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Req And
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Req And
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training not required for
Endoscopy 60 Days Req And
NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification
ICU, PCU and ED only 6 Months Req And
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course ED only 12 Months Req
Skills
* A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills,
and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
* Basic computer skills - computerized charting - use EPIC/Care
Connect preferred
* Critical thinking skills.
* Good verbal and written communication skills and service
excellence skills are also essential attributes for this
position.
