Location:Medical Center - Fort WorthDepartment:AnesthesiologyStandard Weekly Hours:40Summary:The department of Pediatric Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine at Cook Children's Medical Center is seeking a pediatric pain medicine specialist to join our inpatient and outpatient pain management service. Our growing pain management service currently consists of 2 chronic pain physicians, 2 inpatient advanced practice providers, 1 outpatient advanced practice provider and a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, cognitive behavioral therapists, social workers, nurses, and a coordinator. Physicians from the pediatric anesthesiology department provide additional inpatient pain coverage for the weekends. Our multidisciplinary chronic pain clinic offers medication management, interventional pain procedures, medical acupuncture, physical therapy, massage therapy, yoga therapy, biofeedback, and cognitive behavioral therapy. We also have an inpatient rehab facility to admit patients suffering from chronic pain syndromes such as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. This unit is staffed with a dedicated team of therapists to take care of these patients. OR anesthesia time is negotiable. Qualifications Board certified/eligible Anesthesiologist. Fellowship trained Pediatric Anesthesiology preferred. Fellowship trained Pain Management preferred. Experience in Pediatric Pain Management preferred.
