Location:Medical Center Office Building (901 7th
Ave)Department:PsychiatryShift:First Shift (United States of
America)Standard Weekly Hours:40Summary:Functions in collaborative
practice with physician(s) in an inpatient setting. Autonomously
performs patient assessment, diagnosis, and intervention according
to approved protocols. Provides coverage for physician(s) during
periods of absence. Prescribes a variety of modalities to meet
wellness and illness needs, up to and including continued hospital
admission/discharge and prescriptive authority. Collaborates with
the assigned team members to support and adjust plan of care and
length of stay for patient care needs.Education:Advanced Practice
Registered NursesMasters Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice
Registered Nurse Minimum 2 year of pediatric nursing experience or
related specialized area strongly preferred./ or/Physician
AssistantsMasters Degree in Physician Assistant Studies strongly
preferredCertification/Licensure:Advanced Practice Registered
NursesCurrent Texas professional registered nurse licenseCurrent
Texas professional advance practice registered nurse
licenseCertified as a PMHNP, PNP or FNPCurrent Basic Life Support
(CPR) requiredCurrent Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
required (as of October 1, 2019)/ or/Physician AssistantsCurrent
Texas professional physician assistant license Certified as a
PA-CCurrent Basic Life Support (CPR) requiredCurrent Pediatric
