Registered Nurse RN Labor & Delivery L&DRegistered Nurse
(RN) Labor & Delivery
Maternal Level IV designated Labor & Delivery/OBED department is
looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?
Sign-On Bonus for Eligible New Hires
* Work location: Texas Health Ft. Worth, 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue,
Fort Worth, TX 76104
* The Women's Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas
10-Step facility, has been named "Best Place to Have a Baby" and
Maternal Level IV designated facility
* Work hours: Full Time Nights (6:30PM-7AM) for 36 hours/week, with
Weekend and holiday requirements plus some call-requirements
Labor & Delivery Department highlights:
* Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as
opportunities for educational and career growth
* Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
* 18-bed LDR's, 5-bay OB/ED, 5 triage rooms, 3 OR suites
* Average 300 + deliveries per month
* Wide range of patients and plan of care - water births, nitrous
oxide, Midwifery and high-risk patients.
Here's What You Need
* Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program OR Nursing
Diploma required
* BSN is preferred
* CLIAFE Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign
education equivalency (required)
* RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required
* One-year experience as a clinical nurse (RN), or completion of an
RN residency program.
* One year of Labor & Delivery RN experience strongly preferred
* BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent
patient care and maintained quarterly Required
* ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required
within 90 days of hire
* NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is
required
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
* Assesses the patient
* Plans the care of the patient
* Intervenes as appropriate
* Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
* Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into
patient care.
* Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need
for information
* Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital,
and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
