  • Performs quality diagnostic procedures accurately and in a timely manner in surgery or in regular diagnostic radiological exams for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth Outpatient Center.
  • The Radiology Technologist operates X-ray equipment, C-ARMS, XI-SCAN, prepares patient's room, equipment, supplies and medications.
  • Provides patient services using imaging modalities.
  • Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams preformed.
  • Performs all Quality control checks, as prescribed.
  • Maintains accurate QC logs, service records, etc.
  • Performs highest quality imaging consistent with prescribed examination: documents and deviation.
  • Practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures
  • Investigates promptly and follows up on unusual incidents and communicates with Director.

      • Graduate of AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology Licensure/Certification
        • Current & Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT) Certificate
        • Current & Active Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) General License
        • Current BLS certification #LI-TB1Required Experience:Specific Job Experience
          • Two to five years' experience specific to surgical/diagnostic radiological exam Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
            • Demonstrates responsibility for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.
            • Demonstrates ability to assess data, prioritize care, and plan interventions dependent on the age group of the population served.
            • Demonstrates ability to discuss treatment/service and to provide education information to patients/families in age group served.
            • Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.
