Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coder for Provider Practice in
Orthopedics and Podiatry.
Key Responsibilities
Review medical documentation and assign appropriate diagnostic and
procedure codes
Support coding workflows related to Medicare and Commercial
Carrier, including denial review and appeals management
Provide accurate ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CPT coding in compliance
with standards and guidelines
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Certification
in Coding required
Knowledge of diagnostic and procedural terminology, ICD, CPT, and
HCPCS coding schemes preferred
Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CPC-A, CCS, CCS-P, CCS-H, or
COC required
If not certified at hire, must obtain certification within one year
of hire
