Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/03/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PACU Job Details: • Work variable shifts from 0700 to 2330 with options for 8-8, 9-9, 7-7, or 10-10 schedules • Choose between 4 ten-hour shifts or 3 twelve-hour shifts per week • 36 guaranteed hours per week • Call requirements included • Variable workdays with weekend requirements to be discussed during interview • 8-bed PACU unit with 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio • Use Meditech documentation system • Floating required as needed • Must have 2 years of hospital/specialty experience • ICU experience preferred • PACU and day surgery nursing experience highly preferred • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS • Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses not accepted) • Dress code: Royal blue scrubs required • Professional appearance standards including neat hair, covered tattoos when possible, and ear piercings only • Must maintain clean and healthy nail appearance Facility: This major medical center provides comprehensive healthcare services with specialized post-anesthesia care units designed to support surgical patients during their recovery phase.
