Job Description Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a
Registered Nurse (RN) Clinic for a nursing job in Fort Worth,
Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Clinic -
Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: Ongoing - 40 hours
per week - Shift: 8 hours - Employment Type: Staff Location: Dodson
Medical Office Building Department: Rheumatology Shift: First Shift
(United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The
Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering individualized
nursing care to patients/families according to their identified
needs. The nursing care is based on the nursing process and the
medical plan of treatment appropriate to the Rheumatology Specialty
Clinic. Qualifications: - Graduate of accredited nursing program -
Licensure to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas -
Current BLS certification is required - Will obtain advanced life
support certification within two years from their date of
hire/transfer date. Other certification may be required by
department. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: · Customer Service
Excellence: Customers defined as patients, families, visitors,

Assessment/Planning; Demonstrates ability to assess clinical
status, incorporating growth and development and psychosocial
implications. Able to plan individualized care for patient/family;
demonstrates skill in identifying symptoms, changes, and deviations
from the norm. Appropriately reports patient/family needs to
providers. Able to triage telephone calls and document accurately
findings reported by patient/family. · Implementation: Implements
the nursing plan of care while incorporating the medical plan.
Communicates clearly and appropriately with patient/family and
other members of the health care team. · Evaluation: Determines the
effectiveness and correctness of procedures performed; considers
follow up actions. Evaluates patient/family response to care given
and revises as necessary. · Documentation: Documents and updates
pertinent aspects of patient care. Documents medical and nursing
plans and outcomes. Appropriately documents prescription refills,
teaching, and telephone communications/triage with the patient,
family, or social services. Documents patient/family understanding
of teaching upon clinic departure. · Professional/Accountability:
Seeks opportunity for self-growth through community participation,
attending clinic meetings, and membership to professional
organizations. Seeks out continuing education/certification
opportunities. Recognizes and maintains patient/family
confidentiality. · Teaching: Serves as a resource to others both
inside and outside the Medical Center. Provides appropriate expert
advice and opinions; demonstrates appropriate communication skills.
Identifies learning needs and participates in clinic staff
development. · Clinical leadership: Understands role withing the
clinic and Medical Center. Able to organize and prioritize care,
delegating when appropriate. Can identify potential problems and
communicate them appropriately. Is able to supervise others.
Understands and participates in the Quality Improvement process.
Exhibits and maintains a working knowledge of clinic specific
procedures and equipment operation. Is a team player and helps
Medical Assistants room patients and check patients out when
