Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Location: Weatherford, TX Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,004 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position ID: 74866670 Shift: 08:00-17:00 Description: TITLE: Clinical Dietitian DEPARTMENT: Food and Nutrition Services REPORTS TO: Food and Nutrition Services Manager and Clinical Nutrition Supervisor RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUPERVISION: None. JOB SUMMARY: To collaborate as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide patients of all age groups and acuity levels with high quality medical nutrition therapy following the Nutrition Care Process. Note: The following is not intended to be a finalized list of responsibilities for this position. Integrate the Academy Code of Ethics in all areas of practice. Screen and assess patients utilizing the Division Screening and Assessment Policy. Evaluate age, acuity, developmental and disease specific nutritional needs of patients. Develop and implement nutritional plan of care. Identify patient nutrition education needs and provide individualized nutrition counseling to patients, family, and/or caregivers. Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness and outcomes of medical nutrition therapy interventions. Serve as a preceptor and mentor to dietetic interns. Participate in department and/or hospital wide committees, performance improvement projects, and research opportunities. Serve as a clinical resource to all interdisciplinary team members. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Bachelor s Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics required. Completion of an ACEND-accredited supervised practice program. One to two years of hospital clinical nutrition experience preferred. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist preferred or must pass Registration Examination for Dietitians within 3 months of hire date. Licensed by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation within 6 months of hire date. Obtaining 75 CEU s within a 5-year period to meet CDR professional portfolio requirements Employment in this position is contingent upon continued registration and licensure as a dietitian. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Completes individualized training through the orientation process and ongoing competency assessment. Maintains confidentiality, patient related, and complies with HIPAA standards Strong communication skills both verbal and written; ability to compose comprehensive medical record documentation using critical thinking skills Reasoning, decision-making and organizational skills Utilizing HCA software including Meditech and Computrition programs Proficiency in computer skills and knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to details Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and with a diverse healthcare team.
