Job Description Job Description We're seeking an amazing Full-time General Dentist for our practice in Gainesville! SIGN ON and RETENTION BONUS OFFERED $25K package Beautiful contemporary practice with a solid patient base to ensure a full schedule each day with a variety of patients that provides you the ability to perform full-scope treatment. The support staff is a highly-trained and tenured team with streamline processes. The ideal candidate for this position has a great chairside manner and is a team-player. About this position: What we offer: Competitive 401(k) Employer-paid professional liability insurance Employer-paid association dues and licensures Continuing education allowance Duties/Responsibilities: Examining patients' teeth and gums to diagnose and treat various oral health issues. Utilizing X-rays and computer-generated imaging to assist with examinations. Providing dental treatments to patients, including routine cleanings, extractions, dental fillings, cavity, and tooth decay treatments, teeth whitening, bonding, and applications of dental crowns, and veneers. Administering local anesthesia to patients as needed. Educating patients on good oral hygiene practices and advising them on proper aftercare following certain dental procedures. Performing oral cancer screenings. Prescribing antibiotics and pain medications to patients as required. Ensuring that all dental instruments and equipment are sterilized after each use. Taking impressions of patients’ mouths for the fabrication of customized mouthguards and dentures. State license to practice dentistry. CPR certification. In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations of the dental profession (HIPAA, OSHA, CDC etc.) Computer/practice management software proficiency preferred Doctor of dental surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in dentistry (DMD) 1-2 years practicing preferred however, not required Interested?
