This position plays a pivotal role in our operating rooms, providing technical support under the supervision of registered nurses and surgeons to ensure the highest standards of patient care in our dynamic, patient-focused settings. Our PRN staff benefit from flexible scheduling to supplement regular staffing needs, responding to the dynamic requirements of our healthcare services. Prepare operating rooms for surgery including ensuring that all necessary surgical supplies and tools are properly sterilized and assembled. Assist surgical teams in the positioning of patients, based on specific procedures' needs. Maintain a sterile environment during surgeries to prevent any infections or complications. Provide technical assistance to surgeons and nurses during procedures by handing them required instruments and managing surgical equipment. Participate in post-surgical tasks including room cleaning, replenishing supplies, and preparing for the next surgery. Comply with all hospital regulations and safety standards to maintain a safe and effective work environment. Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques Ability to operate and troubleshoot technical surgical equipment Excellent attention to detail to maintain a strict adherence to sterile procedures Good physical stamina and manual dexterity Ability to work flexible hours and respond to on-call emergencies Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
