Job Description Psychiatrist(Hybrid)- Waco, TX Job Type: Full-time/On-site Position Overview: This full-time role combines on-site care with telemedicine services, offering a consistent 40-hour work week while allowing you to meaningfully support an underserved adult population within a structured clinical environment. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans. - Provide psychopharmacology management, including medication initiation, monitoring, and adjustment. - Lead crisis intervention and suicide-prevention protocols in collaboration with nursing and custody teams. - Coordinate continuity of care with on-site counselors, medical providers, and community agencies to support effective discharge planning. - Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with NCCHC and state regulatory standards. - Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, case reviews, and quality-improvement initiatives. - Provide clinical oversight to mid-level practitioners and assist with staff training as needed. Required Qualifications: - Active, unrestricted Texas medical license (or ability to obtain) and DEA registration. - Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry. - Current BLS/ACLS certification; experience in correctional or forensic psychiatry is highly preferred.
