for multiple years. Why You’ll Love This Role As our Registered
Dietitian, you’ll provide life-changing nutrition support to
oncology patients. You’ll provide specialized nutrition care for
cancer patients, with a focus on head and neck cancers and patients
experiencing severe treatment-related side effects that can be
improved through targeted nutrition support. While this population
represents a key area of emphasis, you will also support patients
across a broad range of cancer diagnoses as part of comprehensive
oncology care. You’ll develop individualized nutrition plans,
manage enteral feeding, and support patients and families through
the challenges of treatment, ensuring they remain nourished,
empowered, and cared for throughout their journey. Key
Responsibilities: Serve as the primary nutrition resource for
physicians, staff, and patients, providing expertise in targeted
nutrition support. Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments,
especially for patients at high risk for malnutrition, weight loss,
or sarcopenia. Manage enteral feeding, including developing tube
feeding regimens, monitoring tolerance, and adjusting nutrition
plans. Provide individualized counseling and interventions for
treatment-related side effects (e.g., nausea, taste changes,
swallowing difficulties). Support patients across all cancer
diagnoses while maintaining a focus on head and neck cancers.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver
patient-centered nutrition care. Document assessments, plans, and
follow-ups in electronic medical records. Assist with patient
education materials, presentations, and precepting dietetic
interns. Maintain professional development through continuing
education relevant to oncology nutrition. Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian (RD) with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition,
Food Science, or Dietetics. 1–2 years of experience, preferably in
oncology nutrition. Acute care experience and enteral nutrition
expertise required. Familiarity with clinical nutrition needs of
cancer patients and evidence-based interventions. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills; able to work
collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. Ability to travel
between clinics and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally. Preferred:
Certified Specialist in Oncology (CSO) or willingness to pursue
certification. Experience working with diverse patient populations.
Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $65,000–$70,000 annually,
commensurate with experience. Mileage reimbursed for travel outside
of home clinic. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement
