Highlights: Part Time and Full Time opening; 1st shift / Days Texas Health Clearfork, an expansion of Texas Health Southwest, is a 48 private room facility conveniently located southwest of downtown Ft. Worth just off Chisholm Trail Parkway on Clearfork Main Street Includes 16 family suites, six (6) critical care rooms, 12 fully integrated OR suites and two (2) special procedure rooms and offers imaging services, physical therapy and surgical services with an outpatient and inpatient surgical focus in Orthopedics Be part of the Texas Health Resources family, a 2015 Fortune 100 Best Workplaces for Millennials, a 2015 Healthiest Employer in North Texas by Dallas Business Journal and a 2015 Great Place to Work and Fortune list of 50 Best Workplaces for Camaraderie, is one of the largest faith-based, nonprofit health care delivery systems in the United States Requirements: High School Graduate or GED and Graduate of an accredited CST program, Military CST program, or received education through on-the-job training prior to September, 2010 Certified Surgical Tech (CST) Must obtain CPR within 30 days One (1) year of scrubbing experience preferred in general surgery: laparoscopy; ENT; urology; gynecology; orthopedic surgery including sports medicine, spine, hand, & pain management; podiatry, thoracic and peripheral vascular surgery Duties: Sets up, scrubs and runs mayo for surgical procedures; Assists surgeon by draping patient, passing instruments and suture; maintains correct sponge and instrument count Prepares operative tissue specimens, places in preservative communicating to the circulating nurse the name and the origination of the specimen, may transport to lab Requires knowledge of orthopedic, general, GYN, ENT and urological surgical procedures and physicians' preferences Provides care for the surgical patient by preparing necessary supplies, equipment and instrumentation needed for the surgical procedure by using physician preference cards Requires knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic technique, AORN standards, department and hospital policies and procedures Complies with established department, hospital and system policies Requires attendance at mandatory in-services and staff meetings Requires ability to recognize and develops action plan to achieve goals This position may be required to perform additional duties that are temporary in nature due to business needs Perform other duties as assigned Why Texas Health Resources?
