Retail Property Management Bookkeeper/Accountant - Remote

Job Description:

The Retail Property Management Accountant is responsible for many day-to-day accounting operations, reporting directly to the President of Property Management on assignments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares and calculates annual NNN reconciliations
Prepares annual budget template utilizing data from property rent roll and leases..
Maintains annual property tax schedule focusing on value reduction.
Assists in end-of-year financial reporting and transmission of data to CPA.
Assists in acquisition and set up of new assets.
Prepares annual 1099 documents.
Prepares and constructs mid-year true up of CAM expenses in comparison to overall payments.
Assists in calculation of investor distributions.
Participates in company meetings and conference calls, in-person when required.
Performs special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.

Education and/ or Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years' experience demonstrating overall knowledge of retail property management and general accounting practices.
Experience in Yardi Voyager software strongly preferred
Proficient in the calculation of retail NNN reconciliations required
Demonstrates ability to work independently in a remote office environment
Proficient in Excel & Microsoft Word
Experience working with computerized financial accounting systems - Yardi Voyager, RealPage and Quickbooks
Experience in account analysis
Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills; communicates effectively with various contacts both internal and external
Consistently exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance
Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
Must have a strong work ethic and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
Must reside within the DFW metroplex and/or general North Texas region, or be willing to relocate

Working Conditions:
Ability to work multiple tasks in a stressful environment while maintaining a positive and pleasant manner with others.
Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced remote office environment.
Ability to travel locally up to 20% to accommodate in-person interactions as necessary.
