Job Description:

POSITION TITLE: Dining Room ManagerPOSITION SUMMARY: Dining Room Manager will personally direct and provide an exceptional dining experience for each resident and guest by keeping a steady flow of service to the tables, delegating side work evenly to all the servers, scheduling sufficient staff, and maintaining a mental awareness for customer satisfaction. Effectively and thoroughly manage personnel including adherence to policies and procedures and motivate team to ensure a customer friendly workforce that continuously smiles at, acknowledges, and appreciates customers.REPONSIBILITIES:Human Resources: Training, supervising and motivating team membersFinancial:Labor management -people following their scheduled hoursPurchasing within company guidelines and inventory controlRevenue tracking for accurate receipts of meal countsBudget complianceOperations:Style, quality, and timeliness of meal serviceQuality of foodCleanliness of dining room and service areasMeal presentation, (appealing plate, entree availability, and timeliness of preparation)Guest relations, (resident/guest interaction, and communication)Resident and guest meal record keepingCleaningInventory managementOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Enjoys working with and relates well to seniors.Knowledge of restaurant style service as related to meal service and timing.Possesses a sense of urgency in resident and guest service.Ability to create a harmonious and team-oriented working environment.Highly organized in day-to-day operations in the food service department.Possesses good communication and people skills.Good planning and organizational skills.Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.Professional appearance and attitude.All general staffing requirements:Free of communicable diseaseAble to physically/mentally perform tasksCriminal record clearanceAbility to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishGeneral understanding of the needs of the seniorsWillingness to learnJOB PERKS:At The Tradition, one of the ways we show value to our team members is by offering the following perks:Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits for employees and their eligible dependents;Telemedicine;Life insurance;Health Savings Plan;Short Term Disability benefits;Paid Time Off and Holidays;Retirement Savings Plan;On-Demand PayEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent GED.
