Systems Administrator The City of Benbrook is accepting applications for the position of Systems Administrator.Summary of Class: The purpose of this position is to ensure the proper operation of the city's computer systems. Under the direction of the Director of Information Technology, this position provides a wide range of technical support and project management services for hardware, software, and cloud-based systems used by city staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support for desktop, mobile, server, and networking (wired and wireless) hardware, including support/training in email security and various application software. KNOWLEDGE, ABILITYIES AND SKILLS:

• Knowledge of PC administration concepts and practices, LAN/WAN administration, MS Windows OS, MS Office environment, and Active Directory.
• Knowledge/Experience of State and Federal guidelines regarding protected systems and data; specifically, CJIS, HIPPA, and other data requirements, preferred.
• Knowledge/Experience with Laserfiche administration, Office365 administration, and ESRI GIS administration preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to perform detailed work with speed and accuracy.
• Ability to manage a helpdesk board within a ticketing system.
• Ability to safeguard sensitive or confidential information from intentional or unintentional disclosure. MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION: Associate degree in Information Technology from an accredited college or university or related training with five (5) years of computer systems experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Must have the ability to meet CJIS requirements for unescorted access to CJIS secure areas. Ability to pass extensive law enforcement background check, including but not limited to physical/drug screen. Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's license required.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or (10) ten years of Information Technology experience. MCSE certified, Server+ (CompTIA) and or CCNA/CCNP. Experience with Fortinet, Scale Computing, and Veeam hardware/software. Strong preference given to knowledge of the following software and cloud platforms: Microsoft SharePoint, INCODE, CRIMES (police CAD and RMS), Firehouse, ESO, Community Core, and Civic Plus.
