Lockheed Martin is looking for an experienced Software Engineer and Agile leader who will lead a team of engineers to successful delivery of simulation software products for the customers of the Shared Simulation Software (SSS) team, within the Simulation & System Test (SST) organization. The SSS team performs software development and integration for a distributed, real-time simulation system that includes a mix of aircraft software and simulation software, and development and maintenance of component and sensor models as part of the system. The team develops and integrates software for products founded on the reuse of existing software, while supporting Digital Transformation and DevSecOps concepts. This role has two aspects: an experienced Agile leader, and an experienced simulation software engineer. You should bring to the table both your simulation software engineering experience and your experiences as a member or leader of Agile software development teams. You should have a focus on wide application of Agile software engineering processes and principles, theories, concepts, and best practices. As an experienced Agile leader, you would serve in an Agile leadership role within the SSS team such as a Product Owner, bridging the gap between the customer and a team of software and systems engineers developing products for that customer using Agile processes and tools. Your ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with customers, leaders, and team members, advocating for Agile processes and best practices, will lead the team to successfully achieve cost and schedule milestones and delight our customers. As an experienced simulation software engineer, you would perform software development, integration, and test of real-time simulation software products throughout the software engineering lifecycle. Some requirements analysis and design may also be required, as well as support of verification and validation. This position will also offer the opportunity to expand subject matter expertise into other domains. Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and requires an active Secret Clearance updated within the last 6 years to start. A level 4 employee Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience.
