This position can be based at our Home Office or one of the divisional field locations.

Do you want to utilize your experience and expertise in fulfilment and automation engineering to help build the Supply Chain of the future? Then look no further than Sam's Club. Our Senior Manager of Fulfilment Engineering will lead efforts to explore,designand install innovative material handling solutions and automation capabilities to support our needs for exponential capacity growth within our fulfilment centers. This key leader will impactfully strategize and drive fulfilment engineering and automation strategy to create market changing capabilities.

  • Developing innovative supply chain processes, best practices, and strategic solutions by driving strategic supply chain goals; leading project teams; driving collaboration with cross-functional teams and key vendors to develop and provide business solutions; driving strategic and long-range plans to meet critical timelines; and communicating with and influencing key decision-makers and executives within the organization.

  • Driving initiatives to reduce operating expenses within the supply chain and enhance service by defining transformational change from concept to implementation; partnering with key stakeholders to identify areas of opportunity; establishing value and priority; developing operating and capital budgets; reviewing return on investment (ROI) analysis; approving and escalating project plans and implementation processes; ensuring initiatives achieve desired results and leading root cause analysis. ensuring processes are sustainable and repeatable.

  • Leading automation system design & integration, consulting on the use of advanced machineries for automation of supply chain processes,helping to develop and implement long-range automation plansand combining knowledge of automation/system design and learnings from previous implementations into road maps.

  • Driving the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

  • As a leader of people, providing supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field and 3 years experience in Industrial Engineering or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years experience in Industrial Engineering or related field

  • Background in Engineering, Retail Industry, Retail Operations, Supervising Associates

  • Master's in Industrial Engineering

  • Engineering - Professional Engineer - Certification
