Bell has an immediate opening for a Principal Resource Planner for manufacturing. This senior level role is responsible for maintaining the Master Production Schedule (MPS) for the assigned areas of responsibility. This position requires the candidate to have an intermediate understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM's), Supply Chain, Manufacturing Processes, Master Production Scheduling and Materials Requirements Planning. The Principal Resource Planner is required to work with multiple departments, including Manufacturing, Integrated Business Planning, Engineering, Commercial and Military Customers, Government Customers and Procurement to ensure that an achievable and compliant schedule is loaded. The Principal Resource Planner's primary responsibilities are twofold: Demand Planning and Inventory Management. Demand Planning Job Responsibilities: * Develop demand & supply forecasts based on demand patterns and business needs. * Develop and execute product demand plans to meet organizational goals. * Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. * Interact with sales, marketing, finance, and customer service to understand demand forecast drivers and use accurate information for demand forecasts. * Use and maintain Kinaxis Rapid Response as the primary forecasting system tool. * Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, purchased products, and product phase-outs. * Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning team. * Execute day to day activities in a highly effective materials organization, capable of improving customer service, while keeping inventory and cost at a minimum. * Maintain a constructive relationship with Procurement, Engineering, Finance, and * Manufacturing in support of the Business' strategic goals. * Address demand-related inquiries and issues in a timely manner. * Create and assist in the development and documentation of standard work Inventory Management Job Responsibilities: * Maintains SAP formulas/validity rules for all levels of the BOM (makes changes as directed) * Develop procurement plans of key raw materials to meet production demands and working capital targets * Identify opportunities for improvements in business processes and supply chain strategies * Create and distribute 12-18 month supplier forecasts * Recommend and implement tools to monitor and optimize supply performance * Closely monitor Quantity and cost per unit and review with plant stakeholders * Maintain accurate catalogue of process, product, and packaging capabilities relevant to manufacturing needs. * Works with procurement to identify and mitigate supply shortages * Coordinates monthly cycles counts of raw materials and intermediates * Deals well with ambiguity and is decisive at the right time, even when all facts are not present * Follows all company environmental, health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines, and conducts work in a safe manner * Actively participates in the Physical Inventory process for site. Educational Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems or other related field Position Requirements: * At least six years of experience in or interacting with supply chain, or at least six years of experience in or interacting with SAP or Resource Analysts * Familiar with Bell systems such as: ENOVIA, BEIMS, BEDVUe, SAP, Quality Management Systems, or other problem definition tools. * Experience in troubleshooting issues and resolution/testing * Experienced with Strategic and Tactical procurement and the procedures and processes within the organization. * Excellent oral, visual and written communication skills. * Experience in Aerospace/Aviation Manufacturing industry * Very strong collaboration skills across an enterprise PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * At least 10 year plus experience in or interacting with supply chain, or at least six years of experience in or interacting with SAP or Resource Analysts * Experience with supply chain system tools: SRM & eSourcing, SQC, ASN, Sell2Bell * Experience in Application implementations and testing * Bell Helicopter Supply Chain, Resource Analyst, Planner, or Buyer Experience * Masters degree preferred, MBA or MS * Six Sigma Certification Don't miss the chance to join a diverse, inclusive environment where you feel a sense of belonging.
