Job DescriptionMAJOR JOB OBJECTIVES
- This is a mid-level individual contributor position. Work
assignments require the interpretation and understanding of
contracts and customer-specific requirements, the interpretation of
drawings, and the ability to inspect and measure products in
accordance with their specification requirements.
- The primary duty of this role is to perform customer-simulated
source inspection of products, and facilitate customer or other 3rd
party source inspection as required by contract, prior to
shipment.
- Approximately 25% of the job: Prepare and submit packing slip
requests to assist the business.
- This role requires the ability to effectively interface with
internal and external customers to ensure all product and customer
requirements are met prior to buyoff and shipment of products.
- The ability to work with others in order to resolve outstanding
issues barring approval and shipment.
- Performs Quality and Process Control activities in support of
all product lines.
- Responsible for ensuring adherence to customer and product
specific requirements prior to approval and shipment of
product.
- Participates and contributes to a Lean Manufacturing,
Continuous Improvement and Total Quality Management Culture.
- Responsible for maintaining access to required customer portals
in order to submit any necessary documentation, as required by
contract, prior to shipment. Documentation may include UID
information, test reports, or other information, based on customer
requirement.
- Responsible for overseeing customer, DCMA, and 3rd party source
inspection activities on-site.
- Create RFID shipping/package labels using pre-established label
program files for product as-needed prior to shipment.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- The primary duty of this role is to perform customer-simulated
source inspection of products, and facilitate customer or other 3rd
party source inspection as required by contract, prior to
shipment.
- Work with the Operations & Program Quality Engineers, Program
Managers, Production Managers, and operations personnel to support
simulated customer source inspection activities prior to approval
of product, or submission to the customer or 3rd party source
inspector for approval.
- Maintain access to required customer portals; submit any
customer-required documentation to facilitate product acceptance
and allow shipment.
- Ensure that product meets all requirements (customer and
internal) prior to presentation to customer and 3rd party
inspectors, and prior to shipment activities.
- Submit packing slip requests when product is brought to the
source inspection area.
- Create RFID (package) labels using established programs for
product, as-needed, when required by contract.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma and 4+ years of work experience, OR a
2-year technical degree and 2 years or more related
experience.
- Familiarity with the quality process
- Experience in inspection processes; knowledge and use of
inspection and testing instruments
- Experience with common quality systems such as
non-conformances, cause/corrective actions.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work in order to
accomplish multiple assigned tasks while maintaining attention to
detail
