Come and experience your future!The selected candidate will serve as a first line manager (FLM) and Lead Engineer responsible for providing technical and functional leadership to a team of Automatic Test Equipment engineers to ensure successful execution to cost, schedule, and work product commitments. The FLM will lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers responsible for developing automated test equipment solutions for a wide range of avionic domains including mission and flight computers, communication and navigation equipment, sensor systems, and weapons interfaces. The duties of the selected candidate include staffing programs, providing training, ensuring adherence to processes and procedures, performance management, and mentoring in technical problem solving. As an Integrated Engineering Manager this leader will be expected to facilitate the deployment and use of best practices, tools, and processes on our programs and work with the Engineering Program Managers (EPMs) and Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads to ensure programs are staffed properly and the organizations staff is meeting all program and business commitments. The candidate will perform in a program direct role, which will include Control Account Management (CAM) responsibility.Basic Qualifications:- Prior engineering management experience including task planning, budget management, subcontract management and employee development and mentoring.- Experience leading multi-disciplined technical teams and balancing competing priorities.- Systems Engineering Lifecycle experience including requirements development, systems design and architecture, integration and test (I&T) and requirements verifications.- Development, knowledge and test experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) Systems and Test Program Sets (TPS).- Resource management in a dynamic environment, particularly staffing.- Risk Management principles and Cost Savings initiatives.- Proposal development experience; Basis of Estimate (BOE) development.- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.Ability to obtain SECRET or higher security clearance.Desired Skills:- Current or prior First Line Manager Experience.- Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working environment across business units and with external customers/counterparts.- Strong business acumen, management influence and whole systems thinking.- Model Based Engineering (MBE) experience.- DOORs database experience for requirements management.- Knowledge of ePDM, CREO, and/or ATLAS Test Program Set development language.- Control Account Manager (CAM) experience.- Agile experience and mindset.- Experience leading technical teams across a virtual environment.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Experience developing detailed plans in support of technical assignments.- Prior experience working in a DevOps organization and/or a basic understanding of DevOps concepts.- Prior experience working across multiple business areas at Lockheed Martin.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:job.QualificationsLockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
