Commercial Loan Funding Supervisor assists the Manager of Support
Specialists by overseeing the day-to-day operations of the
Commercial Loan Funding Department.
The Commercial Loan Funding Department is responsible for funding
all types of commercial attorney prepared loans that may include
real estate loans, non-real estate collateral assets, and
commercial and industrial loans secured by other types of
collateral. Loans funded through this department normally range
from $500,000 to $5,000,000 on a daily basis. The transactions are
reviewed prior to closing to verify that all credit policy,
compliance, and collateral issues are addressed appropriately as
required by the nature and structure of the transaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Commercial Loan Funding
Department
* Review of preliminary loan documentation for various loan
packages consisting of title commitment, hazard insurance, flood
certificate, appraisal, construction contracts, entity documents,
UCC lien searches, etc.
* Review attorney prepared loan documents.
* Post-close review executed file from the title company or lending
staff for accuracy and completeness. Fund the loan via wire
transfer, cashier's check, or deposit to account. Prepare and
forward loan package to Loan Operations for booking.
* Interact with title companies and lending staff regarding
questions and concerns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Commercial Loan Funding
Supervisor
* Coordinates activities and sets workflow priorities, tracks
performance, and works to keep team focused.
* Proactively coach team to develop knowledge of products and
services as well as general knowledge of bank functions in an
effort to efficiently address customer questions and problems to
promote effective delivery of service to internal and external
customers.
* Monitor production goals and error rates for assigned team.
* Make decisions/exceptions to policy on basic problems as part of
good customer service/customer retention.
* Coordinate and/or assist in the development, implementation and
operation of special products and services. Work closely with
vendors and oversees system updates and changes due to software and
product enhancements.
* Provide administrative assistance to management through
generation of reports; provides research and development
information with regards to new products and anticipated system
changes.
* Manage department performance through performance reviews,
departmental reporting, implementation of policies and procedures,
research, and handling of customer complaints and requests.
* Ensure all departmental documents and activities are performed in
compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and
procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of
required compliance training.
* Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

Skills
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure
manuals, general business correspondence and/or journals or
government regulations
* Ability to write routine reports, procedures, and business
correspondence
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and
small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees
in the organization
Education and/or Experience
* HS diploma/GED or equivalent in education and/or experience
* 4-6 years' experience in applicable area preferred
* 1-2 years' prior supervisory experience preferred
Computer Skills
* MS Office programs
Other Qualifications (including physical requirements)
* Advanced knowledge of applicable banking operations and
procedures required.
