for a Lead CNC Machinist to join their team immediately! Experience
with single point diamond turning and Schnieder Machines is
preferred, but willing to train the right candidate as well. They

Lead CNC Machinist Responsibilities The Lead is responsible for the
swing shift operation and activities to Lead CNC Machinist and Mill
Department, including management of employees, machines, and
resources. Is a team manager who works with department employees
with the following characteristics: Possess and maintains a good
example of work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to work
with others including reports to daytime lead, shop foreman and GM.
Exemplifies and follows shop policies to ensure employees within
the department are doing the same. Mentors' other employees to
foster a learning/sharing environment to maintain shop practices
and company policies to a department of 30-40 machinists. Expected
availability to answer questions and solve problems. Regularly
offers each employee constructive encouragement/criticism,
scheduling annual reviews for each employee, including recommending
and issue disciplinary actions. Write programs using a CAM software
on a computer based off specifications from Engineer Department.
Program new jobs via CAM software. Setup, operate, and Lead CNC
Machinist, Mills and CNC Lathes: Properly and safely selects,
aligns, secures and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools,
attachments, accessories and materials onto machines as outlined in
setup sheets. Recognizes, deploys, and properly uses inserts,
fixtures, and tooling. Uses gauges and precision measuring
instruments to meet tolerance requirements. Drilling, boring,
tapping, broaching, keyways, threading and grinding. Scheduling
that each machine is cleaned monthly, receives regular maintenance,
and ensures that maintenance logs are updated and reported. Reports
maintenance issues to the shop foreman and maintenance personnel.
Continually works to optimize performance of machines and personnel
to limit ineffective time or resources. Is knowledgeable and
retains up to date understanding of machine and tooling
technologies. Daily coordinates with the shop foreman and other
leads to transition to and from swing shift labor. Works with
Procurement Management for supplies and logistics. Keeps track of
material and supply inventories. Replacement tools, parts, and
equipment. Ability to design jigs, fixtures, multi-part holdings
and templates to assist with production efficiency. Learn and use
established practices, manual instructions and improve on them for
subsequent operations to maximize department efficiency and
productivity. Lead CNC Machinist Qualifications 5 years' experience
as Lead CNC Machinist, including Mastercam programming, preferably
with 2+ in a leadership role. Formal machining training and
completion of coursework from an accredited trade school is
preferred. Strong programming, problem solving, analytical,
mathematical, mechanical, planning, organizations, interpersonal,
and communication skills. Mechanically inclined and metallurgy
knowledge; knowledge of geometry and Basic Trig. Ability to lift 50
lbs safely, maneuver material pallet jack throughout shop and use
grinders. Punctual and able to commit to a 40-hour work week plus
regular overtime available. Hardworking and reliable. Please submit
