Worth.Hours/ScheduleFull Time (40/hr/wk) Monday - Friday evenings
2:30P-11:00PM.Team Leader Responsibilities:1.Oversee daily
operations of all assigned areas2.Monitor, manage, and approve
staffing levels3.Provide leadership to employees of assigned
areas4.Participate in employee evaluations and coaching/counseling
sessions of assigned areas5.Ensure patient satisfaction of assigned
areas6.Coordinate with other departments when services are
requested of assigned areas7.Communicate department initiatives and
performance of assigned areas8.Works closely with physicians and
other stakeholders requesting services of assigned
areas9.Participate in department budgeting process and supply
ordering10.Participate in equipment evaluation and oversee training
of new equipment11.Participate in hospital and department
committees12.Work closely with department manager13.Any additional
duties as assigned by department managerImaging Procedures, Quality
and Processing1. Explains procedures to patient or guardian /
family member if applicable prior to exam2. Positions patient to
correct anatomical area of interest3. Performs complex procedures
including age related criteria and developmental considerations4.
Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related
factors5. Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures
using aseptic technique6. Maintains attention to details7.
Processes and manipulates images, analyzes image quality,
troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments or repeat procedures as
needed 8. Utilizes proper downtime procedures for PACS and HIS /
RIS9. Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS10. Prints laser
images from modality or PACS11. Coordinates with Centralized
Scheduling and other modalitiesPatient Care1. Uses
multidisciplinary, team oriented actions2. Assesses and recognizes
the patient's emotional, physical, developmental, cognitive and
psychosocial conditions3. Prepares room for examination (i.e.
suction, oxygen, supplies)4. Checks physician orders and exam
requisitions using time-out procedures5. Greets and acknowledges
patient, using two forms of ID6. Obtains patient history7. Handles
patients with IVs, oxygen, chest tubes or other devices, and
monitor patient during imaging8. Demonstrates knowledge of
emergency drugs and equipment9. Uses proper body mechanics when
assisting patient10. Administers contrast media and other
medications in accordance with medication administration
guidelines11. Processes patient information, displays proper phone
etiquette and transports patients as needed12. Communicates
respectfully with co-workers and other departmentsEquipment
Operation and Maintenance1. Adjusts technical factors2. Operates,
cares for and maintains equipment3. Applies knowledge of physics
and accessories4. Troubleshoots and properly documents equipment
malfunction5. Maintains equipment and room to sanitary standards
between patients (injectors, table tops, floors)6. Stocks supplies
daily7. Exchanges and maintenance of film badges within designated
time frames8. Demonstrates the knowledge and understanding of
quality control and regulatory standards9. Productive during
periods of decreased work flowProfessional Accountability and
Partnership1. Maintains and enhances technical skills and
technology advancement2. Attends departmental continuing education,
meetings, and checks email in a timely manner3. Identifies,
troubleshoots and initiates quality improvement4. Manages time and
re-prioritizes as necessary5. Performs any assignment deemed
necessary by supervisor Qualifications - External Education Other
Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology
RequiredOrAssociate's Degree Preferred Experience 2 Years
experience in CT RequiredandHospital experience Preferred Licenses
and Certifications ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists R Upon Hire RequiredAndARRT - American Registry of
Radiologic Technologists CT Upon Hire RequiredAndCMRT - Certified
Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB Upon Hire
RequiredAndBCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire
RequiredSkillscomputer skills, communication skills to include
speaking and understanding English language, excellent customer
service skills. Prefer venipuncture
