experiences. Environmental Control System (ECS): The Environmental
Control System engineer is responsible for design, development, and
implementation of Environmental Control System components.
Environmental Control System (ECS) engineer opportunities are
available to develop the Bell 360 Invictus, the future of attack
reconnaissance aviation. The Bell 360 builds on the generational
successes of past Bell experimental and production aircraft to
enable the war fighter and save lives. Engineers will have the
opportunity to experience the full lifecycle of the air vehicle and
develop solutions for the environmental control system, such as
cockpit and avionics cooling, cockpit heating, canopy defogging,
and air filtration. This position is located at Bell's headquarters
facility in Ft. Worth, TX with travel to other Bell and supplier
facilities. Position Responsibilities: Develop ECS requirements and
architecture, including aircraft heating, cooling, defog, and air
filtration. Conduct design and analysis of the ECS and integrate
the ECS into the aircraft in coordination with interfacing systems.
Manage supplier development and qualification efforts. System
design, requirement management, interface management, verification
and validation testing and aircraft/system qualification. Work
closely with other teams, participating in design trade studies for
air vehicle level optimization. Education Requirements: Bachelor of
Science or Engineering Degree is required. Major in Mechanical
Engineering or Aerospace Engineering (or closely related technical
field) is preferred. Position Requirements: Multiple levels of
experience will be considered with at least 5 years' experience
with ECS development and testing within aerospace industry. Ability
to communicate efficiently and effectively to coordinate and lead
activities, prioritize tasks, and report status. Ability to build
and maintain effective relationships with customers and suppliers
as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work effectively within a team utilizing good
interpersonal and organization skills. Familiarity with military
certifications, such as: RTCA-DO-160, MIL-STD-810 and MIL-HDBK-310
military and industry standards as applicable to ECS design.
Experience with aircraft installation support, functional testing
and troubleshooting. #CJ Preferred Skills: Ability to obtain Secret
Security Clearance. Familiarity with model-based systems
engineering. Experience with creation of system specifications,
requirements traceability and verification. Familiarity with
thermal analysis using SINDA, or equivalent analysis tools.
Familiarity with aerospace design and verification processes
including requirement development and verification, preliminary and
detailed design, MRP, Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement and
Maintenance. Familiarity with complex calculations, large dataset
processing, and modeling using Microsoft Excel. Textron Relocation
